Hillcrest picked up another tournament win on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers 7-5. With that win, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Maria Sialmas, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Tatum Lane, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Hillcrest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory got Hillcrest back to even at 3-3. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-2-1 record.

Hillcrest didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against A.C. Flora on the 14th. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 10-1 defeat against Catawba Ridge on the 14th.
