Baseball Recap: Kewaunee Gets the Win

Kewaunee got themselves on the board against Southern Door on Tuesday, but Southern Door never followed suit. They had just enough and edged out the Eagles 2-0. The Storm have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Kewaunee's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Alec Carlson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Kewaunee has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Southern Door, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Kewaunee will take on rival Gibraltar/Washington Island at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Southern Door is set to challenge their familiar foe Oconto at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
