It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Central had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They skirted past the White River Valley Wolverines 44-42. Winning may never get old, but the Thunderbirds sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Shelby Seay was her usual excellent self, going 11 for 27 en route to 33 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalyn Davidson, who posted seven points and eight assists.
North Central's victory bumped their record up to 23-3. As for White River Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 18-5.
Looking ahead, North Central will take on Northeast Dubois at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northeast Dubois will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something North Central surely won't give up without a fight. White River Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
