Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over Texas Wind.
Dylan Dougharty was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up four earned runs off nine hits. Dougharty was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple and two RBI.
In other batting news, Colton Shockey was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Paul Stedifor was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Coram Deo Academy). Everything went their way against McKinney Christian Academy on Monday as they made off with a 14-3 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Coram Deo Academy got a massive performance out of Lucas Smith, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Smith hit this season. Another player making a difference was Grant Edens, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool's record now sits at 16-5-1. As for Coram Deo Academy, their record is now 4-16-1.
