Basketball Recap: Tyrone Piles Up the Points Against Bellwood-Antis

Tyrone was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Bellwood-Antis on Wednesday. The Tyrone Golden Eagles really took it to the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-34 victory. The Golden Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jackson Dorminy, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 18 points. Dorminy continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Connor Mayes was another key player, putting up eight points.

Tyrone's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Bellwood-Antis, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tyrone will head out to face off against Bishop McCort at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bishop McCort's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games. As for Bellwood-Antis, they will venture away from home to challenge Forest Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Forest Hills is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69.8 points per game this season.
