If South Pontotoc was riding high fresh off their 15-2 takedown of Calhoun City last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell just short of the Bruce Trojans by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

South Pontotoc's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Bruce, their record now sits at 7-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Pontotoc will head out to take on Pontotoc at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bruce, they will take on Eupora at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
