Haddon Heights has gone 8-2 against West Deptford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Garnets will be playing at home against the Eagles at 10:00 a.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Haddon Heights' pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Westampton Tech as they made off with an 11-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Garnets.
Meanwhile, West Deptford was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. They blew past Camden County Vo-Tech 17-2. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three games by 12 runs or more so far this season.
Jordyn Ambrosius was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, West Deptford got a massive performance out of Sadie Afflerbach, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave Afflerbach a new career-high. Joelle Kulnis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
West Deptford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The victory got West Deptford back to even at 3-3-1. As for Haddon Heights, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Haddon Heights was able to grind out a solid victory over West Deptford when the teams last played back in May of 2025, winning 6-2. Will the Garnets repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
