After flying high against Valor Preparatory Academy last Tuesday, Mountain Island Charter came back down to earth. The Mountain Island Charter Raptors took a 51-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cherryville Ironmen on Wednesday. It was another big night for Raylei Gidney, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 26 boards for Cherryville. Gidney has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Allen, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
