Shasta is 0-10 against Chico since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Wolves will look to defend their home field against the Panthers at 2:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Shasta is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 14-6 margin over Enterprise on Friday. The Wolves not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 13, 2025 (when they won 11-1).

The team relied heavily on Haley Salkeld, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryleigh Scarborough, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Shasta was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Chico waltzed into their contest on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past University Prep 8-2.
Leah Cawthon made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Camile Murphy and Maddie Nadeau did most of the damage at the plate: Murphy went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Nadeau went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Liani Linares was another key player, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
Shasta's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-9. As for Chico, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
