Make it six blowout wins for the JAG Jaguars this season. They were the clear victor by a 73-50 margin over Percy Julian. Given JAG's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Percy Julian is ranked 123rd), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
JaMicah Adair was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ladarius Givan, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.
JAG's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Percy Julian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.
JAG will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Enterprise at 7:00 p.m. As for Percy Julian, they will head out on the road to take on Prattville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
