The Mark Morris Monarchs will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Prairie Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Mark Morris will be looking to extend their current 16-game winning streak dating back to last season.
Mark Morris had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Evergreen on Wednesday. Mark Morris put the hurt on Evergreen with a sharp 14-1 win.

Shyanne Sellers made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Mark Morris got a massive performance out of Mikaila Warfield, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Megan Fugleberg was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Mark Morris was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in four consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Prairie took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past Hudson's Bay 22-2. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.
Like Mark Morris, Prairie also got a great game from a two-way player: Payton Miller. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Miller a new career-low. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Jordynn Ciu was a standout: she scored four runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Kylie Moore, who scored four runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Mark Morris pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Prairie, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Mark Morris couldn't quite finish off Prairie in their previous meeting back in April of 2022 and fell 4-2. Will Mark Morris have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
