Hazleton Area took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Berwick Bulldogs as they made off with a 16-6 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Hazleton Area always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Berwick only posted an OBP of .500.

Hazleton Area has already played their next contest, a 14-2 loss against South Williamsport on the 1st. As for Berwick, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-11 win against Hanover Area on the 1st.
