Last Friday, everything went Laguna Blanca's way against Malibu as Laguna Blanca made off with a 50-26 victory. The result was nothing new for Laguna Blanca, who have now won three games by 20 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, United Christian Academy pushed their score all the way to 44 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were beaten by California School for the Deaf-Riverside 85-44. United Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-22.
United Christian Academy's loss came about despite a quality game from Gabriel Martinez, who threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per attempt, and also punched in three touchdowns on the ground. Another player making a difference was Adam Weisner, who rushed for 218 yards while picking up 9.5 yards per carry.
Laguna Blanca's win lifted them to 6-0 while United Christian Academy's defeat dropped them down to 2-5.
