Geoffrey Creighton Lefevre Dazzles in Vela Win
Vela picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Geoffrey Creighton Lefevre. Nobody could stop Creighton Lefevre as he threw for 207 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Vela's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Creighton Lefevre and Vela will face off against Rowe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jp Garza Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Jp Garza posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 166 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
The win was the third in a row for McAllen Memorial, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Garza and McAllen Memorial will welcome Juarez-Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Vela Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Jonathan Flores
Jonathan Flores was instrumental in extending Vela's winning streak to six on Friday. Flores was unstoppable, rushing for 135 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 131 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Flores must have Juarez-Lincoln's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Flores saw the Huskies), he rushed for 244 yards and five touchdowns on only 12 carries.

Kane Coy Goes Supernova in Mcallen Memorial Victory
The second McAllen Memorial player making an appearance here is Kane Coy, and for good reason. He rushed for 49 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only five passes.
For the year, Coy has thrown 12 touchdowns (and no picks) while averaging 115.8 passing yards per game.

Big Game from Aparicio As Mission Won 34-14
Rounding off our Top Five is Thomas Aparicio of Mission. Aparicio rushed for 113 yards on only 12 carries, and also picked up 75 receiving yards.
The win got Mission back to even at 3-3. Aparicio will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Rio Grande City on Friday.
