The Choctaw County Tigers posted their biggest win yet this season on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Sweet Water with a sharp 52-29 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Choctaw County has posted against Sweet Water since January 7, 2021.
Choctaw County was led to victory by Kamya Straight and India Graham. Straight scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and five steals, while Graham scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Straight scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Thomas, who scored six points along with two steals.
Choctaw County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-9 record this season. As for Sweet Water, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Choctaw County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Millry at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Millry comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last nine games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Sweet Water, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Marengo at 6:30 p.m. Marengo will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
