The Baker County Wildcats can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They blew past West Nassau, posting a 70-38 victory at home. Baker County's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Baker County was led to victory by Zaniah Blake and Yamise Haygood. Blake dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds, while Haygood dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Blake has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Natalia Strachan, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Morgan Middlebrooks, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tru Armstrong, who scored ten points.
The win makes it two in a row for Baker County and bumps their season record up to 12-5. As for West Nassau, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baker County will stay at home for another game and welcome the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Keystone Heights has now lost 14 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30. As for West Nassau, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m.
