Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Kansas City Christian School

Heritage Christian Academy won the last time they faced Kansas City Christian School and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went the Heritage Christian Academy Chargers' way against the Kansas City Christian School Panthers as the Heritage Christian Academy Chargers made off with a 59-36 victory. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 23 points or more this season.

Heritage Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Trey Chambers, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chambers has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Declan Schoff, who posted eight points in addition to ten rebounds and three steals.

Heritage Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Heritage Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Kansas City Christian School, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. James Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Heritage Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.6 points per game this season. Kansas City Christian School will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Prairie View at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
