The Illinois Central Christian Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They walked away with a 68-55 victory over Homefires. The victory was just what Illinois Central Christian needed coming off of a 60-21 defeat in their prior game.
Despite the loss, Homefires still got an impressive performance from Colin Chesnut, who scored 26 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. That was a full 47.3% of Homefires' points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Rademacher, who scored 12 points.
The win got Illinois Central Christian back to even at 5-5. As for Homefires, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Varsity Opponent the next time they take the court. Illinois Central Christian will host Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Homefires will host them at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
