For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Lake Fenton has posted against Owosso since February 19, 2021.
Brandon suffered their closest loss yet this season on Monday. They fell just short of North Branch by a score of 46-44.
The losing side was boosted by Riley Abney, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. That was a full 56.8% of Brandon's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Williamson, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Lake Fenton's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Brandon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Lake Fenton against Brandon in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 72-25 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Fenton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
