After three games on the road, De Leon is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Hico Tigers at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully De Leon is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hico in Texas (De Leon is ranked 528th, while Hico is ranked 1229th).
On December 5th, De Leon ended up a good deal behind Richland Springs and lost 59-43.
Meanwhile, Hico's ten-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They breezed by Ranger on the road to the tune of 57-11. Hico's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
De Leon now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Hico, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-15.
De Leon took their win against Hico when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 35-14. Will De Leon repeat their success, or does Hico have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
