Argonaut had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 6-10 to make it four. They fell 7-4 to the Bradshaw Christian Pride. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pride this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 last Wednesday.
Argonaut saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Teravskis, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
As for Bradshaw Christian, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.
On Bradshaw Christian's side, Max Wolf was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Wolf has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.
In other pitching news, Hank Ristrom looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
Back at the plate, Bradshaw Christian let Timmy Maung and Kaleb Lum run wild. Maung went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run, while Lum went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Lum has posted since back in March. Evan Fujii-Sisler was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Argonaut is set to challenge their familiar foe Galt at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bradshaw Christian will take on rival El Dorado at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pride 2.8, the Cougars 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
