It was a good run, but the Briar Woods Falcons unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Rock Ridge 47-43. Briar Woods lost against Rock Ridge in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 61-48 score last time.
Despite the loss, Briar Woods had strong showings from Devon Pettibone, who scored 15 points along with three steals, and Patrick Fraim, who scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him.
Briar Woods' defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-4. As for Rock Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
Briar Woods will head out on the road to face off against Woodgrove at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rock Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Broad Run at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
