The Lakeview Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 56-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of McKinley. Lakeview was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as McKinley apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Izzy Haines, who scored ten points along with three steals. Haines continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalyssa Werner, who scored 16 points.
Lakeview's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for McKinley, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeview will be home for the holidays to greet Maplewood at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. McKinley will take on Hubbard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hubbard and McKinley are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
