Oswego (Ill.) didn't let up as Saturday's game came to a close, scoring 15 in the fourth quarter to seal a 42-13 victory over
Plainfield Central (Plainfield, Ill.).
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter, the Panthers led 21-0 at the half.
Oswego saw its 21-point halftime lead fall to 20 entering the fourth.
With the win OHS extended its winning streak to seven games. The Panthers defeated the Cougars 52-7 last week.
Mike Smiles made a difference for the Wildcats. The junior quarterback threw one touchdown.
Oswego went into the matchup giving up only 15.6 points per game. Plainfield Central came in surrendering 16.6 points per game this season. PC struggled against OHS, which came in averaging 35.6 points per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 21-6 win for the Panthers.
The defeat comes as a step back for Plainfield Central, which notched a 28-0 victory over Plainfield East in its previous outing. The loss snapped the Plainfield school's 3-game winning streak.
