Stonington extended the longest winning streak in Eastern Connecticut - Medium this week by beating Bacon Academy, 47-20. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Ledyard was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Montville. The Colonels came in at 23 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Matthew Cavallo made the biggest impact on defense this week as Killingly fell to Windham. The 5-foot-8 sophomore grabbed 1 sack.
Ryan Duclos was the best wideout in the league this week as the Bobcats fell to Stonington. Duclos racked up 7 receptions for 100 yards. Jake Bartha helped Bacon Academy's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 65 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Bacon Academy's Nate Kozlowski and Duclos have proven to be a lethal combination. Kozlowski has thrown for 1,188 yards this season, while Duclos has 36 catches for 760 yards. The Redmen's Tyler Stucke leads the league in rushing yards with 725.
The top two teams in Eastern Connecticut - Medium will face off this week when first place Ledyard takes on second place Stonington.
