It was a good run, but East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by Rock Port 62-29. East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-15.
Rock Port had a senior duo take command as Bannack Skillen scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two blocks and Cade Makings scored ten points along with eight rebounds and six assists. It was the first time this season that Skillen posted two or more blocks. Corbyn Jakub was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax]'s loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Rock Port, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] will take on Stewartsville at TBD on Wednesday. As for Rock Port, they will be playing at home against North Andrew at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Port is coming into the game with six straight wins at home, so North Andrew is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
