With a playoff game on the line, the Cocoa Beach Minutemen rose to the challenge on Thursday. They took down the Wildcats 52-38. The win was familiar territory for Cocoa Beach who now have five in a row.
Jay Matthews continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Garrett Ronsisvalle, who scored six points along with five assists and two steals.
Cocoa Beach has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for West Shore, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.
Cocoa Beach didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 80-43 defeat vs. Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy on the 10th. West Shore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
