The Manchester Valley Mavericks had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Western Tech & Environmental Science and snuck past 46-44. This was payback for Manchester Valley, who suffered a 65-42 loss the last time these two teams met.
Manchester Valley had a senior duo take command as William Cuneo scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals and Carter Strohman scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Enderle, who scored eight points.
Manchester Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester Valley will take on Harford Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Manchester Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Monday. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Kenwood at 5:30 p.m. Kenwood will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Western Tech & Environmental Science surely won't give up without a fight.
