With a playoff win on the line, Fairland rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 72-51 margin over the Ironton Fighting Tigers. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Addison Godby, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 boards. She also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Fairland is undefeated when she posts at least three steals, but 4-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Bailey Russell, who posted 17 points and three steals.

Fairland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive games.

Fairland is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 18-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.8 points. Ironton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.

Coming up, Fairland will face off against North Adams at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fairland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.3 points per game this season. Ironton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
