The Bishop Blanchet Bears had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-51 win over Enumclaw.
Bishop Blanchet's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sadie Graves, who scored 16 points along with three steals. Graves hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Campbell, who scored 16 points.
Bishop Blanchet's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Enumclaw, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Bishop Blanchet will be playing at home against Garfield at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Garfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Bishop Blanchet likes a good challenge. Enumclaw will be staying on the road on January 8th to face off against White River at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th.
