The Salisbury Panthers entered their tilt with the Green City Gophers with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Salisbury claimed a resounding 62-35 win over Green City at home. Salisbury has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 27 points or more this season.
Despite the loss, Green City still got an impressive performance from Asher Buggs-Tipton, who scored 15 points along with two steals. That was a full 42.9% of Green City's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Hatcher, who scored five points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Green City struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Salisbury pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Green City, their loss ended a 13-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salisbury will take on Community at TBD on Tuesday. Community will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 528th, while Salisbury is ranked 80th). As for Green City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brashear at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
