The Veritas Prep Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 22 points or more this season. They really took it to Williams for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-25 victory on the road. The victory was nothing new for Veritas Prep as they're now sitting on four straight.
Veritas Prep found their leader in underclassman Miles Perry, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Perry also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Casen Lentz, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and six steals.
When it comes to explaining why Williams lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Cade Trimble. Despite the final result, he scored four points along with five rebounds.
Veritas Prep is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Williams, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
Veritas Prep will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Antelope at 4:30 p.m. on December 29th. Williams will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Lincoln Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
