On Tuesday, the Foothill Falcons faced the Mojave Rattlers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Foothill enjoyed a cozy 62-47 victory over Mojave. For Foothill, this counts as revenge for the 78-70 loss Mojave walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.
Foothill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zak Abdalla, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Abdalla has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shawn Salazar, who scored 13 points along with five assists and two steals.
Foothill has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Mojave, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.
Foothill will head out on the road to face off against Coronado at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Coronado has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,339 points over their last 19 matches. As for Mojave, they will be playing at home against Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Las Vegas is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
