Seton is 8-2 against Fredericksburg Christian since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Seton Conquistadors will look to defend their home court against the Fredericksburg Christian Eagles at 7:15 p.m. Seton will stroll in with a six game home winning streak, but they should still watch out: the last time they lost at home was their February 7 matchup with Fredericksburg Christian.
Seton can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 72-29 win over Trinity Christian at home. Given Seton's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Trinity Christian is ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Fredericksburg Christian pushed their score all the way to 62 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eastern Mennonite. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on January 5th (55), Fredericksburg Christian still had to take the loss.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Christan Smith, who scored 14 points along with six assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Noah Caesar was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Seton's win bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Fredericksburg Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Seton beat Fredericksburg Christian 68-58 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Seton repeat their success, or does Fredericksburg Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
