Maxwell extended the longest winning streak in Mountain Valley this week by beating Quincy, 54-20. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Panthers.
Biggs took down Weed 74-18 last week, the largest margin of any game.
5-foot-11 quarterback Hunter Morris of Chester is the league leader in passing yards this season with 970. He has also thrown 7 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Kyle Tobener. The Portola star has 12 catches for 346 yards.
Tristan Huegel has rushed for 959 yards on 109 carries so far this year.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Maxwell takes on the Volcanoes. Robert Wilson's team is currently in second, while Chester is in third.
The Wolverines made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,840 from 8,048. The advance stemmed from a 74-18 victory over the Cougars last week.
