It was a good run, but Whitehorse unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They were beaten by the Chinle Wildcats 71-43. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 44th in Utah, while the Wildcats are ranked second in Arizona).

Whitehorse's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Chinle, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Whitehorse will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Monument Valley at 5:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Chinle will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Window Rock at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
