The Quincy Trojans can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They snuck past Live Oak with a 48-43 victory. The victory was just what Quincy needed coming off of a 57-33 defeat in their prior contest.
When it comes to explaining why Live Oak lost, one person who can't be blamed is Harjot Kular. Despite the final result, he scored 31 points. Kular scored a full 72.1% of Live Oak's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Quincy's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-9. As for Live Oak, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quincy will finish 2023 at home by hosting South Fork on December 28th. Live Oak won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Las Plumas at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. Hopefully Las Plumas focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Friday.
