Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The East Webster Wolverines walked away with it. They came out on top against Rosa Fort by a score of 36-28 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for East Webster who now have five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Webster to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaleb Warnock, who rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 152 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Briceton Johnson, who picked up 85 receiving yards and a touchdown.
East Webster's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Rosa Fort, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road , which bumped their record down to 5-5.
East Webster will face off against Kossuth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kossuth is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games. Rosa Fort does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
