Everything went their way against Monroe Academy as Morgan Academy made off with a 65-41 win. That's another feather in the cap for Morgan Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
CJ Christopher Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with six assists and six steals. The contest was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Speedy Parnell, who scored ten points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Morgan Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Monroe Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Morgan Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Southern Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Southern Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Monroe Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bessemer Academy at 3:30 p.m. on January 15th.
