Anthony Jeffery Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Thomson's Anthony Jeffery, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Jeffery rushed for 234 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.2 rushing touchdowns per game. Those 234 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Jeffery must have Glenn Hills's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Jeffery picked up 38 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 31 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Spartans duked it out back in October of 2023.

Burke County's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Williams and Burke County will challenge Glenn Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Effort from Jaris Sinkfield Leads Thomson over Glenn Hills
Thomson was led to victory by Jaris Sinkfield, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Sinkfield picked up 101 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 62 yards.
This year, Sinkfield has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 55.7 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 6.5 receiving yards per game.

On Friday, Burke County got the W thanks in part to Cordarius Free playing the best football he has all season. Free rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Another Burke County player making an appearance on this list is Sean Vandiver. He rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 43 yards and a touchdown.
