Detrick Smith, Fort Wayne South Side's leader in total tackles on the season, led the team again on Friday. Homestead had no answer to Smith as he made 14 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and snagged an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown. Smith is crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least 14 every time he's taken the field this season.

Looking ahead, Smith and Fort Wayne South Side have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Fort Wayne Bishop Luers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Archers have some work to do to even out the 1-8 series between these two since October of 2016, but a win here would be a good start.
