Football Recap: North Branch Wins Going Away Against Imlay City

North Branch won the last time they faced Imlay City and things went their way on Friday too. The Broncos put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 33-7 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Broncos' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 184th, while the Spartans are ranked 398th).

Micheal Gorman had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 207 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry.

Gorman was just one part of a punishing run game: North Branch was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 205 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Imlay City only rushed for -1 rushing yards.

North Branch now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Imlay City, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. North Branch will challenge rival Croswell-Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Imlay City is set to take on their familiar foe Yale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
