Volleyball Recap: Cherryville Starts Season with Win Against Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy

Cherryville took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They put the hurt on the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons with a sharp 3-0 win. The Ironmen haven't had any issues with the Gryphons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-21, 25-5.

Cherryville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taylor Hudson, who had six aces. Those six aces gave Hudson a new career-high.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cherryville is headed away from home for the first time to square off against North Gaston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, they will square off against Piedmont Community Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Gryphons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
