The Trinity Christian Gryphons will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the King Abdullah Academy Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on December 13th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Trinity Christian earned a 50-41 victory over Christ Chapel Academy. The win was just what Trinity Christian needed coming off of a 68-37 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, even though Christ Chapel Academy scored an imposing 55 points on Monday, King Abdullah Academy still came out on top. King Abdullah Academy took their game against Christ Chapel Academy 67-55. Given King Abdullah Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Christ Chapel Academy is ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Adira Ahmed, who scored 26 points. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Anas Drissi, who scored 16 points.
Trinity Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for King Abdullah Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Trinity Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their match against King Abdullah Academy in their previous meeting back in February, but they still walked away with a 67-63 win.
