Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the West Sabine Tigers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were beaten by Centerville 42-12 on Thursday. West Sabine was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.
Zantayl Holley was a one-man wrecking crew for Centerville as he rushed for 184 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Holley was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 56 yards. Andrew Newman also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
West Sabine has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Centerville, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
West Sabine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Centerville will head out on the road to face off against Honey Grove at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Honey Grove is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
