The Incarnate Word Academy Red Knights will take on the Marquette Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Incarnate Word Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Cor Jesu Academy came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Incarnate Word Academy, but Abbi Koelling wouldn't allow it. The Red Knights skirted past the Chargers 3-2 with plenty of help from Koelling, who had 12 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Incarnate Word Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-22, 16-14.

Incarnate Word Academy's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Audrey Schaeffer, who had 21 digs and four aces. The dominant performance also gave Schaeffer a new career-high in assists (eight).
They weren't the only good servers: Incarnate Word Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Marquette faced St. Dominic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Crusaders.
Marquette never let St. Dominic on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-15, 25-19.
Incarnate Word Academy's win bumped their record up to 19-11. As for Marquette, they now have a winning record of 16-15.
Incarnate Word Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Marquette in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. Do the Red Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
