DJ Davis Dazzles in West Craven Win
Starting off the list is West Craven's DJ Davis, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Davis rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.
West Craven moved to 3-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. Davis and West Craven will head out to challenge Greene Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Melton Made His Presence Known in Washington's 31-29 Loss
Keondrick Melton continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his sixth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 104 rushing yards. He rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns.
Washington's defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4. Melton and Washington will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on SouthWest Edgecombe at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Elijah Able's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Farmville Central over West Craven
While Farmville Central might've come up empty on Friday, Elijah Able wasn't going down without a fight. Able was unstoppable, rushing for 173 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 62 yards.
Able is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Greene Central on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Able saw the Rams), he rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also caught a touchdown.

A Season-Best Effort from Malik Brown Leads West Craven over Farmville Central
On Friday, West Craven got the W thanks in part to Malik Brown playing the best football he has all season. Brown rushed for 167 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
If history really does repeat itself, Brown might just drop another big game when he faces off against Greene Central on Friday. When Brown last faced the Rams back in October of 2023, he rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also picked up 58 receiving yards.

Josh Cetner produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Greene Central to the win on Friday. Cetner threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 44 yards and a touchdown.
Greene Central moved to 4-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. Cetner and Greene Central will take on West Craven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
