Downers Grove North had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Plainfield North Tigers by a score of 39-31 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Downers Grove North got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Campbell Thulin out in front who posted 15 points along with eight boards and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Thulin has scored at least a third of Downers Grove North's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adysen Fanta, who put up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Downers Grove North's record now sits at 22-9. As for Plainfield North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-11 record this season.

Downers Grove North will challenge Benet Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Benet Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Downers Grove North likes a good challenge. Plainfield North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
