The Centerville Bulldogs were the 70-43 winner over the Oakwood Panthers when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Centerville took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oakwood. Centerville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Centerville had strong showings from Iain Kendrick, who scored 22 points, and Colton Brasuell, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Brasuell scored a full 27.1% of Centerville's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ty Havard was another key contributor, scoring 2 points along with 7 rebounds.
Oakwood's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nick Strickland , who scored 15 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Strickland has scored at least 25% of Oakwood's points. Another player making a difference was Jarvis Jones, who scored 13 points.
Centerville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Oakwood, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Centerville will face off against Oakwood at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday. Oakwood's road trip will continue as they head out to face Centerville at 2:15 p.m. on November 30th.
