On Sunday, Hoosac Valley made easy work of Greenfield and carried off a 10-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Hurricanes, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Gracelyn Wright was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Wright was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Izabela Tart, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ella Bissaillon, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, while Palmer put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Pathfinder RVT. The Panthers blew past the Pioneers 6-0.
Not much got past Jillian Holbrook, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Pathfinder RVT off the board. Holbrook has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Palmer saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Roy, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Hoosac Valley's victory bumped their record up to 16-0. As for Palmer, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
Palmer's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hoosac Valley has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 13.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Palmer, though, as they've been averaging 10.6 hits. Given Hoosac Valley's sizable advantage in that area, the Panthers will need to find a way to close that gap.
